Semi-Final Judging of the International Emmy® Awards
In a glamourous setting, the semi-final judgings of this year's International Emmy® Awards once again took place at the Marienburg in Cologne on 22nd June 2009. Six juries, each comprised of up to twelve industry-experts, decided on the advancement of the 60 remaining competition entries from all over Europe, including Germany.

Im Anschuss an die Jury-Sitzungen baten der Academy-Botschafter Leopold Hoesch (BROADVIEW TV), das ZDF (Frank-Dieter Freiling) und Academy-Mitglied Michael Smeaton (FFP New Media), die Jury und weitere prominente Branchenvertreter zu einem Empfang in die Kölner ‚Marienburg‘. Unterstützt wurden die Semi Final Judgings in Köln von HDI Gerling, the NRW.BANK, the Stadt Köln, der Filmstiftung NRW and der Landesanstalt für Medien NRW.
The winners of the 2009 International Emmy® Awards were presented with the coveted Emmy-statue by more than 1.200 international representatives of broadcasters, entertainment and media companies during an elegant gala in New York on 23rd November 2009.
