Initiated and overseen by Leopold Hoesch, Emmy Award winner and Germany’s Ambassador to the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences since 2005, the event underscored Cologne’s stature as a hub for international television—and BROADVIEW’s longstanding partnership with the International Emmy Awards®. The evening concluded with the traditional Cologne Emmy Cocktail.
On August 29, 2025, BROADVIEW hosted the Semi-Final Judging of the 53rd International Emmy Awards®. For the 19th consecutive year, BROADVIEW brought part of the prestigious judging process to Cologne. At Schloss Arff, two distinguished juries—joined by Academy Judging Director Derek Nguyen—selected the nominees in two categories.
