MOSAR aims to significantly advance our knowledge of the control of antimicrobial resistance in bacteria responsible for serious and emerging nosocomial diseases in hospitals and now spreading in communities.
MOSAR will investigate the factors that determine the dynamics of AMRB spread within healthcare facilities, as well as the relative effectiveness and medico-economic impact of control strategies. The resulting new knowledge will be disseminated to caregivers and health policy makers and translated into improved patient care. One of the original features of MOSAR is the creation of an international transdisciplinary network that brings together recognized experts in basic laboratory research, hospital epidemiology, clinical medicine, behavioral sciences, quantitative data and mathematical modeling, and health economics.
