Nuclear Power

End of an Era?

Nuclear power has always been marked by controversy. It is passionately advocated and opposed, protected and feared. For some countries - above all Germany - it seems to be on the way to becoming a discontinued model after 80 years of use. But is it really?

The documentary film „Nuclear Power - End of an Era?" shows what nuclear power has meant to us in recent decades and how the social debate in Germany and France has differed. And it asks what its future holds - with surprising answers. With a strong focus on France, the world's largest nuclear energy nation, and on Germany, which is sticking to its nuclear phase-out despite the anticipated temporary continued operation of its last power plants, the 90-minute film is a journey through 80 years of eventful history.
