It takes up the controversial and challenging ambiguity of this date and wants to get to the bottom of it, to find out what really happened.
For this documentary, we spoke to politicians, migration experts, refugees, journalists and volunteers.
The sometimes very emotional and captivating memories of the interviewees correspond with rarely shown, very haunting archive material that once again brings the drama of those days to life in a moving way.
