BROADVIEW TV is one of the leading independent German documentary film production companies. With its productions of contemporary history, current affairs and cultural programs the company has established itself over the last fifteen years as a reliable partner for German and international broadcasters and distributors.
BROADVIEW TV is run by producer Leopold Hoesch, who was born and raised in Cologne. In 1999, he founded the company and since then, he has successfully produced over 100 documentary films, which have won multiple Awards, including The International Emmy® Award, the German Television Price, the Magnolia Award and Banff Television Award. As well as being a member of the Advisory Council of the German Biography Channel, Leopold Hoesch represents the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
The company's success is characterized by its appropriate treatment of highly controversial historical subjects, thorough archival research, carefully conducted interviews, and a stylish dramatic structure to finish. Many of the productions are written and directed by award-winning directors, completed by collaborations with major composers and orchestras, and a lavish musical score that lends a distinctive tone to the final products.
Breath of Freedom. The 90-minute documentary was produced in 2014 and narrated by Academy Award winner Cuba Gooding Jr.
Nowitzki. The Perfect Shot. The Feature documentary had its premiere in September 2014 and successfully screened in cinemas across Germany.
KLITSCHKO. The Feature Documentary had its World premiere at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.

The Miracle of Leipzig. The 90-minute documentary is produced in 2009 by BROADVIEW TV in association with MDR and ARTE and was awarded the Rockie Award at the 2010 Banff World Television Award.
The Human Footprint. This 75-minute documentary, which visualizes a human life in numbers, was made for ARD in 2008.
Majesty! Bhumibol und Sirikit of Thailand. The 45-minute documentary was commissioned by ZDF in 2008.
The damn third Goal. Wembley `66 - The True Story. The 45-minute documentary was awarded the Bavarian Television Prize in 2007.
The Drama of Dresden. The 90-minute documentary was awarded the 2005 International EMMY Award (New York) and the 2006 Magnolia Award (Shanghai), and nominated for the World Television Award (Banff).
The Miracle of Bern Bern - The True Story. The 90-minute documentary was awarded the 2004 German Television Prize.
Stalingrad. Nominated for the 2003 International EMMY Award (New York) and for 2004 Magnolia Award (Shanghai), this three-part German/Russian coproduction was presented at the New York Film Festival in the USA.
Theater Portraits. To date over 60 German theatres have been portrayed in this series, which is presented by Esther Schweins.
Welcome to Germany - Land of Ideas. A 10-minute image film for TV transmission in association with the German Foreign Ministry and the German Football Association, aimed at presenting Germany in advance of the 2006 World Cup.
